Walking Through History: America 250 Festival
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
A community celebration marking America's 250th, with the Friends on hand to share the love of reading and local history.

Since 1987, the Friends of Smyrna Library have funded the programs, books, and gatherings that turn a good library into the heart of a community. Join us, and keep the pages turning.
We are volunteers. Parents, retirees, readers, and lifelong Smyrna residents who believe a strong library belongs to everyone. We raise the money, sort the books, and staff the events so the library can do what it does best: welcome every person who walks through the door.
When you become a Friend, you are not writing a check into the void. You are funding the storytime a toddler will remember, the quiet study table a teenager needs, and the next great read waiting on the shelf.
Meet the board and our story →“A library is the one place where every child in town has the same library card as everyone else. We just help make sure it stays that way.”
